TMD... I was complaining with an Aussie lady about the taxes we
have to pay because of the bloody bloodsuckers who don't work or
get drugged and drunk and then stick their hands out for money.
I'm okay with helping the poor to get by especially if they have
disabled and ill family members to take care of. A number of them
here deserve better hand-outs.
What I don't want to see is however is unemployment becoming more
viable than being gainfully employed. The fruitcakes in SC have
forgotten that welfare was started with the best of intentions in
other countries, but crankpots took over and took it to the
extreme. Druggies, bums and chavs started getting hand-outs for all
kinds of things including vacations, and even boob jobs and botox
became subsidised.
We've gone the opposite route, which is why people find it
refreshing, but perhaps we could also pull back a little.
